Real-time protection continuously runs behind the scenes to scan your computer's files for viruses. It checks files as they are accessed, moved, copied, saved, or modified, either by you or by your operating system. This level of scanning is recommended for continual protection.
Once an infection is detected, iolo AntiVirus can handle it in one of several ways; see Handling Infected Files for more information.
Real-time protection is enabled as a default. No configuration is required to use real-time protection, but you can specify what files you want to include or exclude from scanning and tailor other settings to suit your work style.
To turn real-time protection on or off and configure settings, open the Settings window and select the Real-time tab.
To temporarily turn off real-time protection, use the snooze feature.
